The Zanesville Police Department states that one man was arrested in the early hours of Monday morning, following an alleged theft. Police reports identify the man as 48-year-old Denny R. Carrel, of Zanesville.
Police say that Carrel was observed dragging a wooden crate behind his truck, at around 2:00 AM, on Underwood Street. Upon Carrel’s arrest, the crate was found to contain a zero-turn lawnmower valued at around $8,000. According to the Zanesville police, Carrel allegedly stole the mower from American Pride Power Equipment, located on Maple Avenue. Carrel remains in custody, and faces one count of Breaking and Entering, and one count of Grand Theft.
