NORTHRIDGE, Calif., Dec. 9-- Contemporary Security Canada (CSC), an affiliate of Contemporary Services Corporation (also known as CSC), has gained global recognition with the award to provide pedestrian security screening services for the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Winter Games. This will be the 7th Olympic Games for which a CSC affiliate has provided services and highlights a continuous list of notable successes for CSC and its CEO/Founder, Damon Zumwalt.

Zumwalt is recognized as the pioneer of peer group security and has more than 4 decades of experience in the industry. He formed CSC in 1967 during his freshman year at UCLA in response to a growing need for peer group security in the emerging rock and roll business. A student athlete himself, Zumwalt grouped together young athletes from various ethnic groups who were all champions from different sports, physically impressive and leaders in their communities. They were also in the same age group as the patrons attending most of the rock and roll shows and thus, peer-group security was formed.
More than four decades later, CSC is now recognized as the world leader in event security and crowd management. With more than forty branch offices across the United States and Canada, CSC is becoming widely known in the international event world as well.
